Physical Education

Physical Education Program

The Physical Education program at Good Shepherd Catholic School aims to provide students with the necessary skills to confidently participate in sport and recreational activities. The goal is to inspire our students and families to live healthy active lives. Physical Education is taught by a specialist teacher with classes participating in weekly 60 minute lessons that cover a range of skills, games and activities. Supplementary to that each year level takes part in a term long sport program focusing on specific developmentally appropriate skills. These programs include:

  • Gym fun- introduction to gymnastics
  • AFL, Soccer and Netball
  • Athletics
  • Ride Nation Schools Program
  • Summer Sports – WACA, Tennis West and Ultimate Frisbee WA

 

Additional Activities 

Good Shepherd Catholic School also offers a range of before, during and after school programmes to keep our students and families engaged, these include:

  • Freo Long Bomb/Fast Kick Competitions

Sporting Events

The sporting calender at Good Shepherd includes a number of Intra and Inter School events as part of our membership of the Catholic Primary Schools Sports Association (CPSSA). Some of these events include:
